Shirley I am so sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts...

Bill was a great fan of the Yellowjackets. As a student-athlete I always appreciated how involved and supportive and did everything for kids. Now as a teacher and coach, I long for more people like him. He was an incredible guy from what I remember.

Bill and Shirley have been our family neighbors for more than 46 years. Many of my childhood memories include the Freeman's...my first time on (and quickly off) a horse, shooting frogs and turtles in the creek at the farm, and football in the lot. Brad took up keeping me in my tomboy ways where my brothers left off. The story that lives in Holmes family lore is how we "met" the Freeman's...seems my dad thought it was an ok idea to leave Darin and I home while he and Dee went fishing and mom was at work. We had just moved to Fredonia. I was 3 and Darin was 8. I woke up to find myself alone (Darin was still in bed) in a big new scary house. So I wandered over to the Freeman's where Bill kept me company and Shirley fed me (not sure if it was a cinnamon roll...but those are my favorite). Needless to say my parents came to fetch me and meet the neighbors. Thanks for rescuing me and all the great memories. Bill will be greatly missed. ❤️
So Sorry for Your Loss ♡

We are saddened to hear of Bill's passing. He always had a warm greeting and a great smile when we would see him on our trips back to Fredonia. Please know you will be in our thoughts and prayers. May God's comfort be with you in the days to come.
