William C. "Bill" Freeman's Obituary
William C. “Bill” Freeman age 78, of Fredonia, died Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. Bill was born on July 7, 1939 in Fair Play, MO the son of Perry Lawson and Naomi Gladys (Smith) Freeman.
Bill worked and retired from LaDow and Spohn as a Printer. On March 5, 1960 in Fredonia, KS, Bill married Shirley Jean Culbertson. Bill and Shirley were married for 57 years and she survives at their home.
Bill was very active in the community and wanted students to excel. Bill was a founder of the Fredonia Black and Gold Booster Club, made numerous yard signs for support of sporting events throughout the years and served on the Fredonia USD 484 School Board for 14 years. Bill was active in the Lions Club, working in his garden, and enjoyed staying busy. Most of all, Bill loved and supported his family.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and Brother Robert L. Freeman
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 7th, 2017 at 1:30 PM at Bateman Gymnasium in Fredonia, with burial to follow at the Fredonia City Cemetery with Mike Myers officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, November 6, 2017 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Memorials have been suggested to any of the following: Fredonia Mound Star Project or the Black and Gold Booster Club or the Bill Freeman Education Scholarship Fund and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
