William Jackson Tuck's Obituary
William J. Tuck, age 83, of Elk Falls, KS passed away on January 2, 2016 in Elk Falls. William was born the son of William Thomas and Iva (Farnsworth) Tuck on December 20, 1932, at Hitching Creek Farm located north of Elk Falls, which was owned by his grandparents William and Ella Farnsworth.
William enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. In his youth, he attended Elk Valley rural school along with his sister, and later Longton Public School. He spent the majority of his life in Elk County and was a resident of Elk Falls since 1983. He enjoyed the Senior Center dinners of the Elk Falls community.
William was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Iva Maybelle.
He is survived by his brother, Thomas G. Tuck of Elk Falls, and sister, Bety Corle of Coffeyville, KS and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and the Graveside Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Elk Falls Cemetery in Elk Falls, KS. The family suggests memorials to the Elk Falls Senior Center and may be sent to the funeral home at P.O. Box 1233, Howard, KS. 67349.
